Financial Analyst

Position Objective:

The individual in this position is responsible for performing day-to-day activities necessary to support ACA Compliance Group ("ACA") in meeting its financial reporting and analysis obligations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations, prepare journal entries and perform other support activities as part of the monthly financial close process for ACA’s domestic and international affiliates

• Prepare monthly financial statements and bank covenant reports

• Prepare quarterly sales commissions reports

• Serve as banking liaison on all day-to-day operating needs

• Assist management in developing policies and procedures that improve existing accounting practices and strengthen internal controls

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and process intercompany transactions

• Prepare annual state tax apportionment schedules

• Assist management in developing annual budgets and forecasts

• Support management in completing annual financial, property, and other audits

• Perform financial analysis and assist management in meeting its financial planning and reporting needs

• Supervise, train, evaluate, oversee, and provide feedback to junior colleagues

• Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client

Qualifications: 

 

• Bachelor’s Degree required – major or concentration in business administration, accounting or finance preferred

• CPA required

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services, project-based environment

• Strong financial analysis skills

• General understanding of financial/accounting systems, experience with Deltek platform(s) a plus

• Strong knowledge of accounting/financial management principles

• Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgments on matters of significance

• Demonstrated professional integrity

• Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment

• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients

• Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks

• Dedicated to upholding ACA’s high quality standards and customer service focus

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet

• Willing to undertake minimal travel up to 5%

• Available for work and/or travel Monday through Friday on a general basis, including occasional nights and weekends

Compensation and Benefits: 

Compensation, which will be competitive and commensurate with experience will include a base salary and may include a discretionary bonus. ACA offers a comprehensive benefits package.
