ACA Technology Surveillance

Position Objective:

The individual in this position is responsible for assisting with the data analysis and build out of the algorithms that comprise ACA’s proprietary surveillance technology. The individual in this position is also responsible for working closely with clients and team members to develop dynamic technological solutions.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Formulate and evaluate experimental forensic models and help to develop algorithms for ACA’s proprietary surveillance technology

• Apply statistical and applied algorithms to client data and fine-tune parameters based on results

• Utilize knowledge of SQL and database concepts for analyzing large data sets

• Build a consistent process to load, transform, validate, and resolve inconsistencies in financial data

• Maintain Web Services private cloud for ACA’s proprietary software

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

• Ensure optimal performance, quality, design, and responsiveness of ACA’s client-facing application(s)

• Identify bottlenecks and bugs in ACA’s client-facing application(s), and devise solutions to these problems

• Work with team members to maximize client experience by, among other things explaining application functionality and features in non-technical terms

• Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives


• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred; computer science, applied math, statistics, physics, electrical engineering or related field preferred

• Proficient in SQL and database design and optimization; Microsoft SQL Server knowledge preferred

• Experience with ETL data processing techniques; Integration Services knowledge preferred

• Experience with various web services

• Experience with implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

• Familiarity with continuous integration

• Demonstrated professional integrity

• Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment

• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet

• Willing to undertake minimal travel

• Available for client work and/or travel Monday through Friday on a general basis, including occasional nights and weekends

Compensation and Benefits: 

Compensation, which will be competitive and commensurate with experience, will include a base salary plus discretionary bonus, and may include a discretionary bonus. ACA offers a comprehensive benefits package
