ACA is running its ninth survey in a series that focuses on the novel and complex issues facing hedge fund and illiquid fund (e.g., private equity, real estate, venture, infrastructure) managers. The information we collected will be reviewed during our "Discussion of Results: 2017 Alternative Fund Manager Compliance Survey" webcast. Please join us for this event on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. EDT.
Colleen Marencik of ACA Compliance Group, will analyze issues raised in the survey. These include the following topics:
Valuation – In this area, the survey covers compliance controls and testing relating to use of formal valuation committees, valuation oversight in general, the use of third-party valuation agents, and ongoing compliance testing.
Transactions and Counterparties – Here the survey concentrates on factors considered in the selection of trading counterparties, policies and other considerations related to co-investment offerings, cross trades, and best execution assessments.
Conflicts of Interest – In this section, the survey covers the controls firms have taken regarding conflicts of interest, including policies and procedures that firms have implemented relating to gifts and entertainment, political contributions, and outside business activities, as well as how firms test for conflicts of interest.
Survey participants may attend this webcast free of charge. To access the event at no fee, please be sure to use the code you received after completing the survey.
